A triple bill showcasing the classical & contemporary. Audiences experienced a journey from past to present, through the Romantic, Classical, and Modern eras of dance.
The evening began with two ballet excerpts meticulously staged by Ballet Melange’s artistic Director, Elizabeth Shipiatsky: Paquita (Petipa, 1881) & Les Sylphides (Fokine, 1909).
Bringing audiences into the present, Maureen Breeze Dance Theater performed Traveling the Labyrinth: A Contemporary Twist on an Ancient Journey (premiered 2023), a series of dances illuminating the soul-searching journey described by thinkers across time and space.
Traveling the Labyrinth is an immersive journey featuring live musicians & music by Led Zeppelin, David Byrne, Eddie Vedder, Leonard Cohen and more.
